Where Can I Find Info On Using The AD Templates?

I would like to place some pictures and videos in the forum home templates, but my effort to do so has failed. Is there another step beyond adding links to the AD_afterforums?
I tried to search the topic, but because AD is less than the three letter minimum, I got nowhere
