What's important for BOTM
 
Hello friends,

In your opinion what is important to be BOTM (Board of the Month)

1- Design (look and feel)
2- Contents
3- Customization

Or the combination of all?

Content trumps all in my opinion but I understand people voting for BOTM probably don't even give themselves 2 minutes to view each board, so in the end the votes really come from the design/style more than anything IMO. I don't think it's right, but it's what happens.

i won 10 or 11 BOTM in the past here, and the only one that was took seriously because it was the only 100% CSS driven design in the entire vBulletin life... all the others were voted for their design and none for their topic rofl

IDK - I think a combination of all 3 is highly important. Tis the way I've voted anyway - I remember seeing quite a few sweetly designed boards with no content at all. I never voted for them, but rather the ones with design AND content AND customization.

I think my boards (http://jpicforum.info and http://wlsjourney.org) had been voted BOTM because of all 3 elements. Probably moreso customization and content, as the color schemes I've chosen ... either you love it or you hate it - no in-between LOL
