will too many thread tags slow a forum?

Hi All,

I am working on a forum that have at least 6 thread tags in each thread, I am just starting and noticed that the site is slower now "after starting to add the tags"

using VB 4.1.10 suite and vBSEO 3.6.0 with shared hosting, the only other plugin is gravity insight

the forum is closed and I only have 17 threads, and already I have more than 50 tags in the cloud.
