Is it possible for an admin to impersonate a forum member and leave no evidence?
There is vbulletin site that conducts online trades. I think the admin is corrupt and wondering if it was possible to do this?
I'm guessing the admin has found a way to hack into high reputation forum members and send private messages as that member while making sure there's no IP address evidence and keeping the password the same. Has anyone ever heard of this before? --------------- Added [DATE]1327491623[/DATE] at [TIME]1327491623[/TIME] --------------- Ok I figured it out. I think they're using this mod. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=122939 |
He could send pms and create posts with custom scripts or via database as well. Sure why not, the admin has unlimited control over his forum and server.

with the mass PM modification/hack he could send out emails to whomever he wants and have it come from whoever he wants Just by entering the ID number of the person he wishes to make it look like sent it
and never have to enter the person's account |
