vBulletin Spammer Central
 

I am working on my vbulletin design but have not yet announced it and all of a sudden I am getting tons of sign ups where you can tell it's spam email, all of the email addresses are crap and I don't really know how people are finding me.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I know I can block ip addresses but honestly I'm starting to think there is some scraper software that is out there for forums and that is how they are finding me. If so can you block a scraper, are there any suggestions of how to handle this.

Plus the people that spam my sight want to sell women's shoes or something "women" related but it has nothing to do with my sight. Seriously annoying.

Easy way would be turn off Registration until your ready to open the forums and then add some kind of Human verification mod.Or you can just install https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...highlight=spam or this which will stop them in there tracks right away https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...highlight=spam

I just use a simple Q&A and VBstopforumspam and its virtually bullet proof !:)
