Why is Skimlinks turned on?
 

I find this section in the plugins of my admincp:
Product : Skimlinks Plugin

Then I find that all the options there are turned on (all the boxes are ticked).

Now, my forum is a non-commercial forum and we don't have ads. So do I have to turn all this skimlinks nonsense off manually? And why is it on by default? :mad:

I just disabled it in the products. It's a revenue thing for IB, I think. Another way for them to make a buck off of us. ;)

Mine wasn't enabled until I enabled it. My account there shows a little money accumulating, but we haven't made enough for a real payment yet.
