Admin notification for new thread post

Hi,
We have been using VBulletin for some time. When we upgraded to 4.1.2 we stopped receiving our email notifications for new threads or post replys. How or where is the setting to change this. I have already added email addresses to the different forms to email replys and that did not work, I have changed the permissions to receive email notifications and that did not work. So it must be a different setting can you help.

Cant see why you want to know when anybody posts unless you are a very small board
anyways
Only way i know of is to do the following for each forum section you have

Goto
Admin c/p
Forum Manager
Choose top forum section you want to recieve email for
edit forum
Moderation options
add in text field Email Addresses to Notify When there is a New Post (& the one below Thread)

Is any of your site email working?

Exactly where are you adding the email addys?

It's also possible a modification is at fault, since by default vb still doesn't offer instant notification of new threads.

Anyway, I agree the first thing you must do is check email in general in the AdminCP>Maintenance>Diagnostics>Email

Thanks for all the comments. Yes in our old VBulleting when someone posted we received a notification so we could answer the question. We use our forum as techsupport for a our products. It allows us to post answers for all of our clients to see. When we upgraded to 4.1.2 it no longer sends a notice to the moderators/admin we have picked to monitor the site. I have already made all the changes suggested along with adding each person to the forum they are the moderators for. Yes I have clicked send email notices but it still does not work.

Ok I ran the Diagnostic for the email and this is the error I am getting

Warning: 0 Unexpected response when connecting to SMTP server in [path]/includes/class_mail.php on line 709

Did you find the email help page in the manual? https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/...bleshoot_email
