Need New Dedicated Server Host -- Thoughts/Opinions?

Hey all.

I have been using Media Temple for the past 3 years, but I just feel like they are overpriced for what you get with a dedicated virtual server.

http://mediatemple.net/webhosting/dv/ -- I have the $150 one.

Does have any know of another dedicated virtual server host that has a better hardware deal for around the same price per month?

Thanks!

What exactly are you needs and abilities?

I host at Techiemedia.com

For $179 per month, I have the following:

Dual Core Xeon
4GB RAM
2x SAS or SATA Drives
RAID1
CdRom/ floppy combo
Choice of operating system
Free Stats Package
Fully Managed 24/7/365
tech support
15 IP's for domains
24/7/365 Uptime/Performance Monitoring
Security / Software upgrades

This server is FULLY MANAGED. They will take care of everything including vbulletin issues / errors / upgrades. They will even install and fix issues with any 3rd party script.

If you don't need a fully managed server, there are tons of reputable companies that can take care of you for MUCH less than you are currently spending.

I'm using Rackspace Cloud Servers. The great thing about that is you can quickly scale the server up and down as you need. You can match your costs to your needs very easily.

I use ioflood.com. For $265, I get a nice quad core xeon and 32gb of RAM. Nice network located in the PhoenixNAP datacenter. Gabe answers tickets in less than 10 minutes and is very friendly. Doesn't try to nickel and dime you for support work. They have a box with 16gb of RAM for the $160 range. Highly recommended.

Linode or Amazon EC2, nobody even mentions those, unbelievable.
