Thread to last post

Hi guys, bit puzzled, has this on my vb 3.8 board without to my knowledge tampering with code,
now running 4 and when you click a thread it goes to the first post, Quite alot of my members are requesting to have it when you click the thread title, it takes you to the last post in the thread,

How do i go about this, or am i missing something so obvoius.
thanks in advance

when clicking thread title from FORUMHOME lastpostby area, or from FORUMDISPLAY in the threadbit list?

It would require some re-coding to do what you are asking.

Or you can just educate your members to go to the last post of a thread from either location
click the https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/
icon/button

Thanks for getting back to me,
re coding, damn i thought it may have been more simplier, yeah its from forum home and forumdisplay, just would be easier to go to last post in stead of first post of a thread, hmm
thanks anyway.

Consider this
*You have a thread that has 400 posts
Member A viewed the thread when it was first starting so he has read the first ~110 posts. He then signed out for the night. He comes back the next day and wow, there are now 400 posts. Now all he has to do is click the link to go to 'first new post' which will take him to post 111. If you change it to always go to last post then he will have to go back a few pages to find where he left off.

Yes, it sounds like you had a modified 3.8 forum. But that's really not the right way to do these things. There's a link to go to the last post if that's really what they want. But that's crazy - usually you want to go to the first new post, and there's an icon for that.
