Any ideas? (Strange CSS fade effect problem)

So, I've found this code to make a fade effect for one of my modifications, however, when you hover over the icon, there's a strange little white line that appears. I can't tell where it's coming from and can't find anything in Firebug, so I'm hoping someone here will be able to help me track this down.
