Insert link options and problems

Should perhaps ask in this forum to.
I try to find where i can change "insert link option" but i dont know if i need a plugin for that.
As it is today i first need to type a word, highlight it and press the insert link button. I've notice that some newer vBulletin forum has two fields at the "insert link" pop-up, one that says text and the other URL.

One more thing i keep having problem with is that the link changes automatically after the post been published.

Example.
The URL that i try to post looks like this
http://www.subaruclub.se/forum/showthread.php?t=71540

And when the thread has been published the link looks like this
http://subaruclub.se/forum/www.subar...ad.php?t=71540

Same thing happens even if i edit the post at try to correct it.

On both my 3.8 and 4.x sites, if you click the Insert Link button, it only gives you the option to paste the link, not paste the text also.

As for the shortened url, it has always been there. If you do a search, you should come across some posts where the code you need to edit to get rid of that is posted.

It's not a problem with a shortened url. The URL is correct, but after published thread/post the forum adds "http://subaruclub.se/forum/" before the right URL.
http://subaruclub.se/forum/www.subar...rum/showthread

I have no idea what to search for since i have no clue where to begin.

Ah, I didn't notice that. I have seen that before and it was due to settings being incorrect. I just can't remember which...

What exactly do you have set in AdminCP > Settings > Options > Site name/URL/etc > Forum URL?

Apexi 01-05-2012 06:52 PM

Forum URL: http://www.subaruclub.se/forum
Website URL: http://www.subaruclub.se

That's odd. Look through all your settings because somewhere you have just http://subaruclub.se/
