notification hides behind header

hello there!
i recently installed a new style to my forum
its all fine when browsing it with FireFox, but when using IE for some reason when i click on notifications it hides behind my header ! any clue ?
ps : IE latest version

Probably a CSS issue, but we would need a link to view the page in order to make suggestions (and I don't have IE, so I won't be able to help).

turned out when people press compatibility view in IE the menu goes behind, and when they turn it off it appears above!
