looking for img auto embed
 

[B]hi all im looking for a plugin that auto embed image photos just by posting the link like example.com/dragon.gif or png /B] so u dont have to use the upload like its like youtube embed u just post the link then it will show up can someoen help me find this plz thankyou im new on vb :D:erm:

This is already a part of vBulletin and to do such you would use the BBcode [IMG] [/IMG] tags around your URL image.

yea i know that but im looking for something similar like youtube embed so when when u post the photo link like www. example.com/hdhzhdz.gif it will be atomaticly auto embbed the link so u dont have to use the [img] thing ...

The simplest YouTube embedding plugins use google's API for definitions. What you're looking for would be most difficult to do I'm pretty sure, due to the massive number of source links out there you would have to define in the plugin.

Besides, why do you want to be married to third party image sources who can remove or change the images, or blacklist you for hotlinking?

i use to use avea media on smf never had such a problem avea was atomaticly embed videos an images i was looking for the same . but anyways never mind

i tried this and it messed up my forum .. so i had to unistall it

I thought AME just did videos?...Is there something out there that could simply identify image url's based on the ending extension then just wrap tha tlink with the image bbcode?

Looking for the same thing and have had no luck either. It's the elusive "my members love to post pic threads" lets make it easy for them mod :)
