How can I show posts from my forum on another site?
 

I'm working on a small college project that requires the development of a website. The site I'm working on has it's own domain and will basically be an information site about my forum (VB 4.1.5).

How can I display the latest posts and/or threads made on the forum, on the project site? Both sites will be on the same server.

The vb manual has an example of how to use the external data provider to do something like that: https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/...r_implementing

To use that example you need to enable External Javascript in the External Data Provider settings in the adminCP. Also, it will only work for forums that are readable by guests.

Thanks for that Kevin, it works and is just what I was looking for.

The post titles displayed on the external site are shown as text only. Do you know if it is possible to set it up so that the posts on the external site link back to the posts on the forum?

Also, how often is the external.php?type=j page updated?
