How can I create a welcome screen?
 

Hi everybody,

I would like to add a description to my board that is only visible to users who are not registered/logged in. I would like to add descriptive texts and images to give newcomers an idea what the board's topics are. This screen, however, should not be visible to users who already are logged in.

What would be the easiest way to accomplish that? Anyone can recommend an addon?

Its simple, you can add a notice from your admin panel, Go to your admin area and Select Notices>> Add new Notice

You have to select the value User belongs to usergroup = Unregistered / not logged in if you want to show this message only for the Unregistered users. You can also setup the other options as per your needs.
