How do I get an rss feed from another site to update my wordpress homepage? Something in the admin cp? thanks in advance.

I'm not aware if new Wordpress versions have this functionality built in since I'm not using Wordrpress and I have my own blogging platform. However, if I good remember there was no such functionality in older versions and a plugin was necessary, so, I think you should use some plugins. Here there are some:
