As per the title, how can this happen?

I thought it might have been a modification I installed some time back which had messed up things.
Ever Thread has one more reply than view, even though the Thread has been viewed a lot more than the reply.
So i went ahead and did a test site and upgraded from vb3.8 to vb4 and deleted all modifications
And it's still the same.
