how to: show Recent Blog (or Forum post) Entries on root (home page)?
 

hello all,

i tried a couple of queries in the forum to try to find what i'm looking for but didn't quite know how to enter such a query.

what i want to do seems somewhat simple, but of course i need help.

using the latest VB Suite version, (4.1.8) i would like to export (or include) the "Recent" data contained within the "Recent Blog Entries" or "Latest Threads" or similar widgets on my VB Suite portal, to the home page of my community site. my VB installation is a sub-section/directory (or portal) of the main site. the structure is similar to this example.

/root-home/ (.com site root/home page. image example attached)
/root-home/vb-suite-site (VB Suite portal/site)

i'd like to have the post titles and post types (Forum or Blog) to appear on the home page of my site, just the unformatted data, so i can style them according to the home page theme. the post titles would each link to the specific post on the vb-suite-site. the attached image illustrates the idea.

is there a way this can be done? if so, plz point me to a thread that has this info or provide technical info; i have a clue but not an adept developer.
