Best way to change column layout in member profile?

I can't seem to find any way in the CMS editor to change the layout/structure of the member profile pages (member.php). Before I go modify the code within the templates, I wanted to check and make sure I am not missing some easier way to turn that page into 3 columns instead of 2.

Any suggestions?
