Need help modifying "New Posts"
 

Hi, was wondering if someone could help me modify which forums return results to the "New Posts" link in the menu bar?

Basically I want to be able to choose which forums results are taken from, so certain posts from certain forums aren't displayed.

Any help is appreciated! :)

Have you tried just adding "&include=x,y,z" or "&exclude=a,b,c" to the end of the search url?

You would edit the template and try adding that to the end of the URL. I'd test it first on your site though.

Which template exactly? search.php?

I would guess the navbar template - isn't that the link you are talking about?

To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. (Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.)
