User pays before they register?
 

Hi,

I'm administrating a pay-for-access forum on vb 4. The way it works currently is the user registers then they have to click a link to proceed to the payment page, when they pay their usergroup changes so they have access to the forum.

Apparently what needs to happen is they pay before they even register, any ideas how I can do this, so from paypal or whatever they are directed to signup or given a username and password?

Why not just allow them to register, and put them in a "limited" group by default, and when they make a payment they are moved to a different group. im pretty sure there is a default vBulletin functionality for subscriptions and it changing the usergroup.

Thanks for your reply, that's how it's currently set up, but it needs to work so they pay before registering! I can't work out a way to do this...

There was a mod that did that but it seems to have been removed by the author for some reason.
