Need a stand alone download manager script!

I have been looking for something that will create an online download manger for files for sometime now. I DON'T want anything that is a vB plugin, but rather something completely stand alone.

Any suggestions? I'm actually surprised nothing like this exists, or maybe I am using wrng search keywords?
