vb.org Archive - Child VarStyles not working?

Hallo, i'm using 4.1.7 .. i do have a default top style (that has some code customization), and a set of childs that are used only to change the "key colors" to appeal the users.
So the child styles are perfectly identical if not for the Style Variables, and specifically for the colors.
The problem is: whatever i set the colors to be different from the main style, they doesn't change when i select that style. The only thing that i can update (apparently) is the header logo.
Am i doing anything wrong.. or this is a bug?
