Ads dont work in my VB
Ok, so I went to edit template for default style, and this is my ad_showthread_firstpost:
Code:
<li class="postbitlegacy postbitim postcontainer"> Also if I make any ad via Advertising in admin panel, nothing shows up either. I feel like this is some sort of template problem... |
Can we see a link? Also, that is not proper html. You cannot use <li> without an <ul> or <ol> surrounding it.
|
Someone down in the RBS thread said ad_showthread_firstpost had been removed from the latest vb versions. But I finally updated to 417 and mine's still there and still working.
|
Well, the point is, even if I use "ADVERTISING" tab and create an add and add plaintext "hello test" in it, it never shows up on site. janbirsa.com/cms

I looked, and I don't see anything, but I don't know if you have anything up right now. Make sure you disable any ad or script blockers you may have installed.
As a test, I just went into Advertising and created a new ad above my footer with just the word "testing" in it, and it shows up fine in 417. |
Well, than something in my forum is ++++ed...wondering if anyone knows what?
|
Why don't you try the test I just proposed and let us take a look at it. Create a new ad above your footer with a simple quote in it. Then, assuming you can't see it, come back and have us take a look.
