How to reset to stock templates?

After updating to 4.1.7 I there was a message in the admin cp about updating some templates, which I did. But I think I messed up, as now the user control panel ("settings" link on top of the page) just returns a blank page (Chrome reports a server error).

So I think I screwed up somewhere when updating the template, I remember there was one related to the control panel. But I am unable to find which one it is now, nothing shows up highlighted as modified in the Edit Templates section. This forum does not have any kind of extensive modifications so I do not mind going back to stock templates, but... how?

thanks in advance,

Thomas

Try creating a new style with no parent first, to see if the default templates are still even there. If so, then that's all you would need to do, and just switch the forum default to that.

If templates were somehow deleted from the Master, I believe you can restore them by running the install script again. I haven't tested this, but I'm pretty sure they get rebuilt that way.

tried both of those solutions, forgot to mention it. New style didn't change anything, as for the install script, it skipped a lot of stages as they were complete, is there a way to force it to start over?

And also, the private messages page has the same problem :(

You know, it just occurred to me to try Rebuild All Templates below the Style Manager.

All I find is "revert all templates" in the dropdown list in the style manager? Anyway this tells me "Nothing to do"

I believe you have to turn debug mode on to see it. See this post: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=82835

It would be located under your Style Manager.
