I think you should either spend a bit more time on the non-forum part of the site, or get rid of it altogether. Your 'Front page news' links point to two different locations for example. The forum style is good enough, though there are a few layout issues with it, especially on the cms parts.

If you've managed to create a community offering expert medical advice then I think you need to hire a better web designer to do the site justice.

Brutal enough? :p
