Postbit Edits Not Showing

Okay, I am trying to do some small stylization edits on my board, like adding a horizontal rule between the signature and the controls. Problem is, none of my edits are actually showing up.

I put this:

Code:

                  <div style="smallfont">

                  Will this work?

                  </div>

After this:

Code:

<!-- / edit note -->

                </if>

And before this:

Code:

<!-- controls -->

                        <if condition="$post['editlink']">

And it doesn't show up. What am I missing with these edits?

Make sure you're editing the correct postbit for the postbit style you're using on your site. For example, the vertical postbit (used here on vbulletin.org) is the postbit_legacy template, the horizontal posbit is the postbit template.
