Newbie Lady Site Owner Needs LOTS of HELP
I am having a nightmare time learning all about vb, I have the 3.8. I am completely new to all this. I also had a bad car accident and fractured my skull, the memory was badly damaged for a long time, it came back somewhat, but I am struggling with the tech stuff I knew before, so please be gentle with me. (Dont be naughty now! )
I cant get the new donation system I bought to work properly on my site, dreamteamdownloads1.com. The IPN is switched on but I am not receiving instant pms on my site when someone donates, secondly all I receive is a pm showing coming from the donator, but it is garbled and says at the bottom, please check this transaction. I have checked the CYB-Paypal system on my site and Im struggling how to solve this and if I have ticked the right boxes. I really need some help to make sure I have done it right, to get this resolved. Does the hack box at the top need to be ticked yes? What does this Hack mean and what is it for please? On the ;Image at the top left of the payment page (750x90px max) - Full path. What needs to go in there? I dont understand the whole PM Reports section in my admincp. I dont want the message to go to donators that is already in there Send PM to user after donating (Title, Message) Yes No Error:1 Send PM to user when donation is confirmed (Title, Message) Yes No Error:1 Send PM to user when donation is confirmed (manually added donations) Yes No Error:1 Send notices to Staff when someone used Donate system (Title, Message) Yes No Error:1 Who send PMs to users (PM sender ID) Error:1 Who will be noticed about new donations (comma separated list of IDs) I just want the message I have prepared to send to donators, thanking them after their donation has been received. But vb wont let me change this How do I manually change the amounts that have come in on the donation bar? I dont want the full amounts to show. I just want to move it sometimes to show only some $$$ coming in. I contacted paypal and they said everything is set up correctly their side, but I need to sort this out with you guys, something is wrong in the vb settings, that I am still receiving messages like this below when someone donates? If you want help with the modification, then you need to post in the modification thread, not out in the main forums. The only place you will get support for modifications is in the actual modification thread.

So cant you just move the thread and answer me, you didnt on the other vbulletin thread I made, why cant I just get the help I need? 4 threads now made with the same instructions from you and still it has not been resolved. I will C & P this one into the thread you ask me to but I dont know what mod thread you are talking about? Please give me a link to it

Well, to keep the forums from getting cluttered with multiple mod questions, we have to keep all our questions restricted to that modification's download thread. If it's something you purchased, and didn't get from here, then you would need to ask at whatever website you bought the original mod from. This, actually, will more likely get you an answer. Since there's hundreds of mods, and the few who have them installed would be more likely to see the question, not to mention if the modification is supported, then you're more likely to get an answer from them, than in the open forums. This area is for non-mod related vB3 questions. Keeps things neat and increases your odds of somehow who knows the answer seeing it.

My question was about vbulletins and how to set up the CYB paypal donate correctly within, both the site I bought the mod from and paypal told me to contact you to resolve the problem

Cyb has a few modifications here, but I'd be surprised if they directed you here on instructions on how to install his modification (Unless they meant that Cyb has a thread here for a free version of his donate mod). As it stands, somebody who happens to have CYB installed would have to happen by this thread to help you out there. Try doing a search for "cyb donate", Titles Only, with quotes and see if there's a thread for the modification here.
