Thumbnail Image Instead of Avatar in Forum Block
 

Hello,

Is there a good way to have a thumbnail image (like, say 100px wide or so) into a "Recent Articles" forum block?

Basically, it is a "Recent Articles" block/widget, and instead of the user's/author's avatar showing, it will instead show the post/article's thumbnail image.

We're making a plugin for what seems like such a simple task but are looking for a smaller, cleaner way. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
