How to select vB skin?

I am about to purchase a skin from either completevb or purevb. What should be my check list before making the purchase?

1. Make sure it's compatible with the version of vBulletin you're running
2. Ensure there is some sort of support if needed (make sure support isn't dead)
3. Get feedback from your users on the skin (see if they like/dislike it)
