Forum category icons on a different style/theme

hello all!
i have installed a plugin with the name of forum category icons that can put an icon next to the status icons. This is for the specific theme that i use
what happens though if i want to switch to a different theme? if a different theme is selected the images are not visible
is there any way that i can solve this?
