Standard Error - Text is overflowing the box...

I'm calling standard_error() function in a mod.

My error message is a little longer than 1 line.

For some reason the box doesn't get any bigger, the message just overflows the box.

Is there some way to make the box bigger without editing the template? Maybe there's something I'm missing... :confused:

VB 4.1.5

I think the error box is limited in width by the style.

Try adding a BR or two. I think it will expand downward.

Wow! Can't say I've seen that happen lol. Have you tried using different browsers? Firebug? Maybe some conflicting css somewhere?

I've never even tried a single long line like that. I've always included BRs in the error text.

I've had long lines that, in a few of my modifications actually, and have never seen that happen

Out of curiosity, are you running IE9 in compatibility mode?

That does do some really strange things to vB.

BirdOPrey5 09-08-2011 09:59 PM

I tried using <br />'s and <div>'s, no help. This was in Chrome, default style. Will check other browsers...

It's even worse in IE9, but at least the box is wider...

In Firefox it works fine... the box is the same width as Chrome but expands to fit the message.

So I guess it's a Chrome issue... still stinks though. :(

Run the site through a markup validator, it should show any related issues.

It's the class "blockrow restore" that is the issue.
