Hacker Changed Forum Front Page
 

Hey guys, a hacker changed my forum's front page (the page you land on when you type in the URL). The hacker left all the files okay, but the front page was messed up.

I can access the cpanel and everything just fine. All the posts are fine and everything seems to be okay. It's just the main page that I need to fix for now.

I will beef up the security later. I just want to get my frontpage fixed for now.

Check your FTP and see if there's an index.html that you didn't put there. If there is, remove it.

No luck. I found one index page, but it was one that I uploaded.

How could I search for more index pages? Or is there some other method by which this hacker changed my front page?

Check your AdminCP and FTP logs, see if anything suspicious comes up in those. You may also try to contact your host to see if they would be able to find out what happened

Check your .htaccess file too
