Anyone interested in something like this for their vB 4?

First off, this is probably more for those who have military themed sites or have something to do with the military on their site. Anyway, I started work on something similar to this several years ago when I was running vB 3, and decided to start work on a new one. Basically I'm in the process of making pages to help members learn more about the military rank structure. I actually found a screenshot from the one I was working on when I had vB 3 going lol (see below).
Anyway, you can see a live demo here: http://www.usmilitarylife.com/military-ranks.php It's still a work in progress, but trying to see if anyone here is interested in putting something like this on their site when I'm done with it :) Btw, it's completely CSS. I've finally found out how to code columns in CSS to work perfectly in ALL browsers :D Looks pretty good imo ;) Screenshots from vB 3: |
You forgetting us airdales? Jeeze give a squid a break would ya?

In the Navy column you have seaman recuit and seaman. They have the white stripes. The airdales have green stripes. Course when I got out I had several of the red chevrons.
Let's see if you can guess what ship I was on. Her nickname was Zippo. |

Anyway, I thought about adding in the airman, fireman, etc. and still might end up doing that. |
HMBeaty - Don't forget construction men with the blue chevrons.
I run two Navy forums. Here is a good link to a post you may want to use. http://www.cnrc.navy.mil/documents/start_guide.pdf and you might want to do a wallpaper just so they have something to look at while they are doing WOW.... https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2011/08/16.jpg |
