Users Online Dont Add Up??

I have been keeping a close eye on the amount of "users online" on my forum recently. I average 100 visitors an hour but if I take a look at the "users online" it always says there are 150 users online or more. These numbers dont ad up to me?? I know some of these users will be spiders so I have installed an addon to identify spiders, But normally there are only 5 spiders online at any one time.

So 150 users - 4 users = 145 users online which still doesnt add up ?? When I click on online.php on my forum I see there are about 20% of "Guest" users on my forum are looking at "Subscribing to Thread" and getting the error "Access Denied" What are these users?? Are they spiders that are not being detected?

Yes, they very well could be. Do you keep your spiders_vbulletin.xml up-to-date? And always make sure you re-upload the latest one whenever you update the forum. vb uses a very small default spiders xml file that copies over the latest updated one. Which spider display mod are you using?
