Postbit / Legacy Hybrid view
 
I saw a Thread view layout where the original post was using the postbit (vertical layout), and all posts made after were using the legacy layout.

Where would I go about making a change like this?

Could you post a screenshot perhaps? Or maybe a link to where you saw this?

the website where i saw this is no longer up...

but basically the first post of every thread is in the postbit layout
and all posts after are postbit_legacy layout

See if anything does what you're looking for. However, I don't ever recall seeing a modification like that. I could be wrong.
