Hide HTML code in RSS Widget

I have a widget that is bringing in an RSS feed from Tumblr. I've had to tweak the widget template code because I didn't want just the title to be shown, but the title and text. I've managed to get it working, but the only problem is that it's also posting the HTML code

HTML Code:

<p> </p>

Is there a command that can be added to the template that hides this code?
