When moving or merging a thread there is provision to leave a link (either expiring or not), is it possible to manually create that type of link (preferably only my mods/admin)? Or is there a mod that does this?

Sure, anyone can post a link to any thread. No mod needed.

What I mean is like the re-direct links where they look like a thread but go to a different forum. The idea being that you can highlight information that is relevant across multiple sub forums all of which point to the same thread in a different part of the forum:
