Invisible posts

Hi,

I need some posts (NOT the entire thread) to be visible only to a specific rank of users (or moderators).

Example: a regular joe will open a thread and see only 10 posts, but there are actually a total of 13 posts (3 of them visible only to certain users).

Do you have this feature? (either on the main product of through a mod)

Thanks!

Here's a free modification that should to just that: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=237057

Most modifications can be easily modified to suite your needs so check into that and see if it's what you were looking for or close to it .

I couldn't open the screenshots, but if I understood correctly, this hack will hide anything between tags (ie: [SHOWTOGROUPS=x]information[/SHOWTOGROUPS]), but there will still be a post (other users will see it blank). So the other users will know there is *something* there, which doesn't suit me.

Or I got it all wrong? How do I see the screencaps?

Well that's one example of how it can be done, you could simply use some usergroup conditional codes and hide the posts from view but then you leave the sidebar and widgets open to showing that information so your going to need something that handles all of your requests and takes into consideration other areas of the software. Basically it can be done however you'll need to more than likely pay for someone to create this functionality your seeking, more so your specific "requirements" of said modification.

Once you purchase a license and setup your vbulletin.org account properly you'll be able to view attachments and post in the Unpaid and Paid Request forums.

There's this mod for VB 3.8: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=251674

I don't see a 4.x version offhand but vBulletin has a built in "moderation queue" - Any post can be "unapproved" by any moderator and it will be hidden from normal users but still visible to moderators and admins.
