Reply but not bump?
 

I have some1 that was working on a plugin for me and I ask for something he said might not be possible... I just want a second opinion.

The plugin would allow me to set a forum where the owner of a thread will NOT be able to BUMP his thread. He can reply to it but it wouldn't move the thread up. Only other user's replies will bump his thread to the top.

Is that impossible?

I don't see why not since there have been mods that stop threads rising for years. You just want yours to have the option to only prevent rising if the poster is the same as the Original Poster.

Personally, I think if you're going to pay for that you should also have the option not to bump at all. AFAIK nobody's quite done that for vb4 yet. Some topics just get so hot we'd like to cool them down without closing them.

yeah but if u want no rising at all just set the forum to display by start date... i have the programmer looking into it again, hopefully he can figure it out...
