Problem With Vbshout | Inferno Shout Box . Random shouts appearing in the SB automati
 

Hello

I have problem with the Shout Box addons. Eg:- inferno shout box and Vbshout.

Basically,, itz with all the shout box addons. So, i believe.. itz something to do with the vbulletin.

The problme is... shouts are appearing in the shout box randomly from different users - automatically - wen some one click on any thread link or any forum link in the forum.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing both inferno shout box and vbshout. (I am using the latest version of both the add -ons)

Questions/Problems regarding modifications/styles need to be asked in the modification/style thread. That is where the support for modification/style is - not out here in the main forums. Please note that if a modification/style is unsupported (or even if it says it is supported), you may be on your own if you chose to install it.

butz.. I am having teh problem.. with all teh shoutboxes.. the same issue..

so.. i dont think itz not the problem of modification.. and it happened suddenly..

do u think.. someone hacked?

I have no idea if anyone hacked you - how would that cause a bunch of shouts to randomly appear though? If you think you were hacked, then you should be looking through your access_logs to see how this happened and you should be talking to your host. However, why would a hacker hack you just to put up random shouts?

After you installed the shoutbox, did you try disabling ALL of your other modifications in order to see if perhaps another modification was causing the issue?

I am using this shout box for about last 6 months.. and i havent installed any other modification for abt last 2-3 months..

everything was absolutely fine.

but suddenly one day. all this started happening.

Only i got access to server.

I thought.. itz a modification issue.. then.. i re-installed the mod again./.. but same problem happened again.

then I uninstalled inferno shout box and installed vbshout latest evrsion.. but same problem happened with that aswell.

And did you ask your host if they had done anything on the server around that time? And did you look through you access_logs for that day to see if there was any unusually activity to show some sort of hacking may have taken place?

Yes.. i Spoke with the host.. they asked me to install some anti-virus plug in and check the access_logs.

I checked it.. but i couldnt find anything unusual.

Now.. i have installed.. CYb Chat Box.

itz up and working for about last 24 hours. till now.. itz working fine.
