Restore Deleted Posts
 

I have a miserable user that keeps deleting his posts when he doesn't get his way. I'd like to restore his posts so people can see the type of person he is.

Does anyone know of a way (either in vB or a plugin) that can do this? I can't seem to find one.

you should be able to view the message history as long as the user doesnt have delete permanently permissions. click the edited by xxx link in the bottom of the post to view the original post. [ may have to have message edit history enabled, should be by default though ]

Do you know a way of doing this en masse? He spent hours deleting hundreds of posts.

Why not disallow editing of posts after a reasonable amount of time - like a day or so?

I don't know of anyway to automatically restore a bunch of deleted posts.

The only way those posts can be readded is if you have a database copy with them still in it. And even then it will be a difficult task. But first things first, do you have a backup with those deleted posts in it?
