Backing up via phpMyAdmin
 
I've got a fairly small forum at this point (www.pbriot.com) - <5,000 posts.

I followed the instructions here - https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/...atabase_backup and zipped up the export file - it was only 212 bytes! The backup file can't possibly be that small... can it?

Probably the phpmyadmin has a file size restriction limit. Try the mysqldumper instead.

If you have cPanel you can backup using that too.
