Is there a Hack that will tell Who made a Donation and how much? Like we have a Pay pal Account for our development board?? The members would like to know how much was donated.. so it the a way to get somthin like this?

Afterburner 08-28-2001 03:20 AM

What i mean is if someone say sends $100 towards the board or projects that it will Log it and keep track of there donations...

Its Prob a Long shot but it dont hurt to ask. The members want it just so they can see how much they donate and also others..

Example:

johndoe Donated $50 dollars last on April 29 Total $100

LOL somthin like that

A "donation" is a money conribution a person gives.

Its a good idea. Im thinking it could be like ezboard's community chest. There could be a thing like donate 3 dollars and you get some special board privalige.

@Afterburner
donation = Spende

This would be a fine hack

Hmmm is there a Way to make a HACK for a ADMIN to put the member in a List and how much they donate?? ALse is needed is Somthin like the TOP posters List but list of DONATORs?

You could just add on to the users profile with a PayPal field. Make it non modifyable by the users.

Would this be what you are looking for?

In a way yes.... But i was wonderin if theres a Way to make it like a TOP poster hack.. but have like top donators... Even if i had to ad the money in manually as long as the members could see the list

Afterburner 08-31-2001 02:06 PM

Maybe try this:

Insert a special field in the profile like interesst, hobby and so on and set it to non editable but shown, now you can insert in this field the donations and the member is unable to change it.

Can we go into more detail how i would go about setting this up? I have ~30 members that have donated to the forums, i would like to just show a simple star, or icon next to there username with a link to the donation page... I noticed Bane had a setup like this on his forums, and tips for me? :) Thanks!!
