Timezone display issue

Hi all - I'm new to vB, so please help as much as you can.

I have the default setting set to Eastern time zone with DST set to "yes". But the display on the actual forum is showing as MDT.

I cannot figure out how to make it display as EDT or EST.

Can anyone help?
