Ranks management for individual users and social groups
 

Right now we're running a phpBB forum with a quite elaborate permissions system with many different ranks. Some ranks are assigned to usergroups and some are to individual users.

I'm working on migrating this over to vB and just hit an unexpected hurdle with the ranks. I would like to drop quite a few of the current user groups and make them social groups. I would, however, need to have ranks assigned to those social groups. I also need ranks that can be assigned to individual users.

It would be best if the user could choose from any available ranks assigned which one should show up under their name in posts.

I know a mod exists for 4x to assign ranks to users that may fit my needs. Is there one that would fit all of my needs though? If not, how easy would it be to have made and supported?
