Question for Mac users.
I moved a forum to a new host and changed over the nameservers two days ago and all went well.
Now I have one of the admins who uses a Mac not able to log in to the new site, She has logged out and deleted her cache and cookies in the browser she uses, has unplugged her router to reset it, still no go. Is there something she should look for or do as far as settings in her Mac? I know zip all about Macs so thought I would ask here. |
Being someone who has worked on photography, mac endowed member forums (lol) be sure they cleared the cache properly...
Try: Clear Browser Cache - http://itdc.lbcc.edu/cps/engines/clearcache/index.html Clear OS Cache - http://www.brighthub.com/computing/m...cles/2309.aspx *Backup settings as it mentions You can have them Google how to modify the "hosts" file on a MAC there is info for that and make sure it resolves to the new IP. I know this has caused me quite a few headaches on occasion when some simply did not realize that's all that was required OR assumed they were doing it correctly and in fact were not resulting in more screaming at yours truly and me shaking head in turn :p. |
