New Posts
Does anybody know how I can update the link behind the 'New Posts' icon, I want to change the URL.
Thanks |
I'm not sure exactly what you mean. If you want to edit the link, then you would edit it in the navbar template (it might be in two places in there).

Hi Lynne,
I want to update the link in New Posts to display ALL newly created first posts (not the follow-up postings) - at the moment anybody who creates a new post in the forum will not be displayed on the writers computer, i believe this can be corrected by changing the default link from: search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post to search.php?do=getdaily. I have looked at the template and there appears to be a lot of default link details repeated throughout the template - will I have to update all these? thanks Andy |
If you want to change all the links, then you would need to do it everywhere. I do not think you can remove the contenttype though, I believe it is required now. Have you tried the link you are thinking of changing it to?

Yes - the link brings in all the NEW 1st forum threads to the 'New Posts' screen including your a members own new first thread rather than waiting for somebody to send a reply to it.
