What permissions to give moderators
I am having some difficulty giving giving my moderators the right permissions. It seems that there is only one moderator position available, the super moderator.
I don't want this to be the case, I want a more lesser position of a moderator, just for moderating posts for example, not getting all the benefits a super moderator gets. But it seems to me that even I award someone with a super moderator position, this position doesn't override the other usergroups he is part of |
I Usually just assign them to the forum and give them default permissions
Just read it and see what you think yourself |
vBulletin allows for both moderators and super-moderators, they are distinct usergroups.
To add a moderator go to Forum Manager -> choose a forum -> Add Moderator and you can set what permissions you give them, there should also be an option to change their usergroup to the moderators usergroup. |
How can I take the forum edits and announcement feature away from the super moderator control panel?
