Search, Edit, Delete, TAGS in the adminCP tagging system
 

I have lots of 'crap' tags that I need to delete or combine but in the adminCP, there is not anyway to actually search for them. I can sort by last added or alphabetically, but that means going through hundreds of pages to find the tags I want to edit, combine, or delete.

Seems like there could be a modification that would do the following:

1. search tags
2. show how many times a tag is used
3. link the tags to the threads in a new window
4. allow for deletion or editing/ combining similar tags (For example: 'radio' is a correct tag, but my users have entered 'raido' and 'rdaio' and 'radioo' (all typos). Who knows how many others are like this.

Is this something that can be done?

I guess no one else has trouble with too many useless tags? Is there something I am missing ( a way to manage the tags in vbulletin that I haven't found)??

There was a mod for vb3 that did this. You may want to look it up and see if it works in vb4.

Thanks Lynn. It appears to not work for VB4 and I wouldn't know what to do to upgrade it to make it work.

yeah, the default tagging management tools available are terrible. I really wish someone would release an update to that hack or make a new system all together.

IT has been awhile since I posted this question. Anyone have suggestions or a way to do this?
